What Can I Make With Veggie Dogs?
My daughter, who is five, decided last week that she will no longer eat animals and that she’s a vegetarian now. So I’ve been cooking more beans veggies and the likes and we also picked up a pack of garden burgers and some veggie dogs at the store this week. I’ve fixed the veggie dogs for her like regular hot dogs twice now and am running out of ideas. Since they are full of protein, I’d like her to eat them frequently, but I also don’t want her to get tired of them. Any ideas on what I can make with veggie dogs? Do you have any recipes that call for them, or maybe something that you would usually use regular hot dogs in? Thanks for your help.

Have you tried just chopping up the veggie dogs and using them as a replacement for meat in your usual dishes?

Turn them into corn dogs. I just make up a batch of sweet corn bread (half cornmeal, half white flour), dip them into the batter and then fry. You could also get some corn dog molds and bake them if you prefer. My kids love these both with veggie dogs and regular hot dogs.

I cut them into bite size chunks and add them to mac and cheese or pasta salad.

The corn dog idea looks delicious!
I have wrapped veggie dogs in crescent rolls with cheese and baked them. Dip in barbeque sauce or stone-ground mustard. YUM!

dependent on whether you have a gas or electric stove, you can cook them on a fork right over the flame and have them on a bun (just like the boiled type)with whatever garnish you like .
and they work with sauerkraut too!
I’ll have to try the corn dogs myself sounds like lunch today!

I have tried the crescent roll thing–my toddler loves em! I’ll have to try it in the Mac n cheese.
