The answer to your muffin recipe is:

Put 4 cups of cereal in a bowl.
    Add 2 cups of milk
    2 eggs
    1/2 cup of cooking oil

    Stir all together

    In a seperate bowl
You need to mix 2 cups of flour
    6 teaspons of baking powder
    1/2 cup of Sugar
    1 teaspoon of salt

Mix everything together and stir well
Fill your muffin container 2/3 or more full.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.

Great with a glass of milk!

I thought I had lost my recipe that I have had for about 20 plus years. This is the one your looking for.

    Raisin Bran Muffins
    1 1/4 Cup Plain Flour
    3 tsp Baking Powder
    1/2 tsp Salt
    1/2 Cup Sugar
    3 Cups Raisin Bran Cereal
    1 1/4 Cup Milk
    1 egg
    1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil

I always begin by placing cereal in the bowl with the milk to soften. I then stir in the egg and the vegetable oil into the cereal and milk mixture. Then I add remaining ingredients and stir. Bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. Makes about 18 muffins.
I’ve noticed that when I have bought other cereals such as “Post Select” which have the bran flakes, pecans, and dates this also makes an awesome muffin.

[...] Raisin Bran isn’t just a cold cereal anymore. You can actually bake some awesome cookies and muffins with it. To start baking with raisin bran cereal, soften the cereal in a bit of milk and add them to your favorite muffin or cookie recipe. [...]

Thanks, I’ve been looking for that recipe for years!!

    # 4. JJ Sherman, above, has the original and best raisin brand recipe. I have been making this for years. You can bake some fresh every morning.

Make them even healthier by using whole grain flour, adding ground flex seeds, dried cranberries, cherries and extra raisins. I also use applesauce in place of half of the oil. It just gets better the longer it sets in the refrigerator. (But not longer then six weeks).

Thanks DD Sherwin, June 07…I left my receipt behind with a move and thought I had it. Search the “net” and so happy to have found what sounds like the original receipt from the side of the box of cereal so many years ago! Thank you! It’s a GREAT receipt and you just get into the refrigerator, full your muffin tin and pop in the oven for breakfast treats for the family…just don’t stir the mix once you put it in the refrigerator!
