Just brown some ground beef, season it with salt, pepper and chili powder then add your beans and a can of diced tomatoes. Let everything simmer together and you have a nice pot of homemade chili. Just mash them really well with a bit of the bean juice and pan-fry. You can then use that anywhere you'd use canned refried beans otherwise.
