What Can I Make With Diet Coke
So, I’ve heard there are quite a few dishes from cakes to chicken recipes that you can make with diet coke. I enjoy a can of the stuff every now and then, and usually have a few of them sitting in the fridge. Might as well put them to good use and cook some new dishes for my family.
So far there’s only one recipe I’ve ever made with diet coke and that was a brownie like cake. You basically just mix a box of chocolate cake mix with a can of diet coke and bake it according to the box instructions. It turned out really good… like a gooey brownie.
How about you? Do you cook with diet coke (or any soda for that matter). If so, please leave your favorite recipe as a comment below.

Susanne – While I haven’t personally tried cooking with diet Coke, I do have a number of recipes that use Coca-Cola as an ingredient. I’m the archivist for The Coca-Cola Company and have my own blog, Coca-Cola Conversations, that is only a few months old. In that time, though, I have posted a few recipes using Coke (including a BBQ sauce recipe I love), and plan to include more in the future. We also have recipes on our Company website, including some made with juices and diet drinks. I’d love to hear of any other recipes your readers have. Thanks — Phil Mooney

Yea I remember my dad one time tried adding Coke, not Diet, on his barbecue marinade. Tastes weird at first but overall it’s good. Love your blog BTW Susanne

Wow, coke in a marinade sounds really weird, I’ve never tried that, usually I would use whiskey or something like that.

I like using honey in my bbq, it gives it a sweetness that goes great with a bit of spice, you guys should try it sometime for sure.
