What Can I Make With Chocolate Easter Bunnies
This year, the kids got an insane amount of chocolate from the easter bunny including several huge chocolate bunnies. They’ve ate most of their chocolates and various other candies by now, but bunnies are still sitting on the counter. I know if I open then, the kids will just have way to much chocolate at once…
I remember my mom used to make some sort of pound cake type thing with chocolate in it. She would break the easter bunny into pieces and use them in the cake. Unfortunately I don’t have the recipe and won’t be able to get a hold of my mom for the next few weeks. Did your mom do the same thing? Or maybe you are now making cakes with your kids’ easter bunnies? If so, please take a moment to share your recipe below.
Of course I’d also be interested in any other recipes involving chocolate easter bunnies that you may have.

Hey, I just read an idea for this today! Melt the bunnies down, and then dip bananas in it. Roll them in chopped nuts, coconut or sprinkles, place on a cookie sheet and freeze. Once they are frozen transfer to a container or storage bag and put back in the freezer for a quick and easy snack when you want a sweet treat!

Nothing beats the sweet and salt combination you have with chococolate covered nuts. Use any favorite nuts; peanuts, cashews, pecans, what have you. Be sure they are salted! To melt your bunnies down do this:
Break your bunnies into the smallest pieces you can.
Put large pot on stove and bring to boil. When water comes to a boil remove from heat.
Use smaller pot that will fit inside large pot (making sure water can not come over the top) and put chocolate pieces in small pot.
Carefully place small pot with chocolate in hot water and begin to stir chocolate with large spatula or spoon.
Keep stirring until melted. Once it’s melted remove pot from hot water and CONTINUE STIRRING chocolate until it cools slightly.
Pour nuts into chocolate and keep stirring until all nuts are covered.
Spoon chocolate covered nuts into small piles onto cookie sheet lightly sprayed with non-stick spray.
Let sit out (you may place in freezer until set) until chocolate is solid.
Place in zip lock bag. Keep cool.

Whenever i have extra chocolate, i try this simple recipe. (I love it!). Take a couple of cookies/crackers and to make it more colorful and lovely, some sprinkles (or grated almonds) or some MnMs.
1. Melt the chocolate (in a shallow bottom pan)
2. Dip the cookies/crackers in them. Make sure they are evenly coated.
3. Place them on a cookie sheet, and before they start drying, sprinkle the grated almonds or sprinkles on them(gives an extra crunch) or embedded them with MnMs (kids love the bright colors)
4. Place them in a fridge for cooling
It forms as a great snack when the kids come home from school.
