Hi,
my baby is 5 weeks old and I am still feeding him with breastmilk. I hadn´t thought about the recipes possibilities with my milk.
Greetings,

Donate it!

There are women out there who can't produce breast milk. If you have an extra supply or Milk frozen you can donate it.

If you go through a donation bank. They test you for HIV, and other diseases.

Just so you know the average donation is Most donors give about 30ml to 100ml a day.

Check to see if you have a local breastmilk donation bank and help make healthy babies around the world!

You can mix your breast milk in with rice cereal for your infant. Beats mixing it with water. It's much sweetier.

There are other uses, but you would get some very interesting hits in your website stats if I listed them. (Where is the shocked emoticon!?)

Put a drop on pinkeye to help it heal quickly.

If baby has a stuffy nose, a drop in the nostril will help loosen up phlegm and make the cold go away faster because of antibodies. (Dr. Jay Gordon at www.drjaygordon.com recommends this one)

Make soap with it (find homemade soap recipes and replace goats milk or whatever with breastmilk).

Diaper rash (as long as the rash isn't caused by thrush, the milk could make that worse).

Skin moisturizer

Cradle cap
Baby Acne
Minor cuts/scrapes

If you have leftover frozen breastmilk, you can sneak it into a smoothie for your older kids.

Well, this isn't really making anything, but breastmilk is good for earaches and ear infections. Just squirt some breastmilk inside of the ear :)
