My father introduced me to alfalfa sprouts. What a wonderful gift because years later I absolutely love them. I put them on a salad of baby greens, tomatoes, and cucumbers. I also put them on tuna fish sandwiches. They add a nice crunch and crisp taste to summer victuals.

I make a really yummy & healthy sandwich with alfalfa sprouts. I use whole wheat or 7 grain bread, fat free smoked deli turkey breast, 50% reduced fat provolone cheese, vegetable or spinich & artichoke hummus, baby spinich leaves, and alfalfa sprouts. Delicious!!

Not sure how I stumbled upon this site, but glad I came across this particular post. I love my sprouts with visually anything as long as its salad. Will be coming back to read more. Jerry

Right now I have a container of alfalfa sprouts I am trying to use up. I have had them on salads and wraps, but that is getting a bit old. I am allergic to yeast so bread is out of the question and seems all the recipes I can find are for sandwiches. I wish there were more recipes out there to choose from. I would appreciate any ideas.

This is my favorite recipe:
2 c. alfalfa sprouts
1 c. orange sections
1 sm. avocado (1/2 lb.), peeled & sliced
Tangy Dressing (see below)

In serving bowl combine sprouts, oranges and avocado. Just before serving, toss with the dressing. Serves 4.
