What Can I Make With 7-up or Sprite?
I’m at home with two sick babies. (Well, they are actually 5 and 9 years old, but they are my babies, none-the-less.)
Both have the stomach flu so I had my hubby run out and buy some Sprite to help soothe their bellies. Now that they’re feeling better, I’m eyeing up the Sprite and I had to run over here to get some good ideas from you.
So, dear friends, what can I make with Sprite? Any fun food recipes or drink recipes for me that include Sprite or 7-up? Let me have it! I’m ready to experiment.

Take a yellow cake mix and your can (12 0z) mix them together and bake according to the time on the box. Then you have a 7 up cake. I used this recipe with my son and I put the cake mix in a gallon size bag and add the 7 up and then let him squeeze it until it is mixed. He like getting to help.

Add juice and a big hunk of ice that is in a pretty shape and make party punch. I think you can also use it to marinate ribs too.

Sprite makes awesome floats, especially with sherbert. You can also use it in the place of the liquid in cakes, warm and mix with lime jello to make a super fruity poke cake out of it. Combine with sliced citrus fruit and a little giner for a marinaide for your chicken before it goes on the grill(24 hrs is best). Mix with powdered sugar and use to glaze cakes and doughnuts(I bet that would be wonderful on lemon poppyseed muffins too!) I bet you could evan cook your Thanksgiving sweet potatoes in it for a little zip!

When I make brisket, I always pour in a can of soda, along with the onion soup mix and other ingredients.

Easy crockpot recipe: one whole chicken, pour the equivalent of 1 can of 7-up/Sprite over it. Cook on low for six hours or so.

anytime our large family gets together we make this delightful punch - great for the summer and the heat it brings.
mix one can frozen yellow lemonade, one can frozen pink lemonade and one to one and 1/2 bottle(s) of Sprite or clear soda of your choice. Mix together well, careful not to kill the fizz. Take one 1/2 gallon of rainbow sherbet and cut into large chunks, dropping them into the mix. Its great for parties and bbqs. Another version we use is adding one small can of limeade before the sherbet.
Waterdowned version (without sherbet) Same mix as above - add ice to taste and keep cold. Some prefer the lighter mix for brunch or early afternoon.
Double recipe for over 10 people or so - enjoy!

so sorry, forgot to mention that it works much better in large punch bowl than pitcher- to let the sherbet float and create a cool foam as it melts.

We love to make Shirley Temples: 7-up over ice, a splash of Grenadine and two spashes of orange juice.
Build in a highball glass. Garnish with a cherry or lime.
