How do I Make Taco Bell Spicy Chicken Burritos?!

Filed under: HOW DO I MAKE IT?, Main — Susanne @ 6:24 pm

Yo quiero Taco Bell Spicy Chicken Burritos! Seriously, I could eat them every single day of my life.

The problem is when it is 9pm and my hubby gets snuggly and all I can think is “I want a Spicy Chicken Burrito!” The poor guy runs out to get me my burrito. Got to love that man!

So, save my marriage, please. Tell me how to make Spicy Chicken Burritos at home, just like Taco Bell.

This is what you need for the marinade:
    1/2 cup of water
    1 teaspoon of soy sauce
    1 teaspoon of salt
    1 teaspoon of brown sugar
    1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
1/4 teaspoon of liquid smoke flavoring
    1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
    1/4 teaspoon of chili powder

    This is your filling:
    2 boneless chicken breasts
    1 cup of cooked rice
    1/2 cup of enchilada sauce
    1/2 of teaspoon salt
    Stuff your flour tortillas
Add 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Add 1/3 cup shredded monterey jack cheese
    green onions (sliced)

Now hope this will give your hubby a good nights rest!

I seriously make these everyday, and they taste exactly like the spicey chicken burrito.

    What you need:

Tortilla shells (I usually buy the day old ones, same taste half price).

    Reduced Chicken breast-bonless.

    Sour cream

    curry spice

    season salt

    black pepper

    salt

chili powder. (Use how much you like with the seasoning. It might suit your taste better).

    Cooking:

In a large skillet, cook chicken. I like to keep it a little pink, but not too much so you can still taste the chicken.

After chicken is cooked, take it out and add the a little bit of water
(half a cup is good) add the spices, more or less to your liking.

Simmer for about 5 minutes until water drains. Add chicken. Mix well. Serve on tortilla shell.

    Enjoy!

    Quesadilla Sauce like Taco Bell

    1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tsp. minced jalapeno slices (nacho slices)
2 tsp. juice from jalapeno slices (nacho slices)
    3/4 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. paprika
    1/2 tsp. cumin
    1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
    1/8 tsp. garlic powder
    dash salt

Mix all ingredients, cover & chill.

This is the sauce that is used in the burrito. I really don’t know where ANYONE gets soy sauce from, considering it’s more used in Oriental food rather than Mexican.

Then you need white rice. A given.

Sadly, I’ve not the recipe for the spicy chicken, you can use the recipe in someone else’s if you like.

Then you need pico. At least, that’s what it’s called in Taco Bell.

I think the tortilla is ten inches, but don’t take my word for it, I don’t remember since the last I stocked them at Taco Bell was last year.

Crunchwraps are delicious though, especially the spicy chicken one. I seriously think I’ll make one of those some day… when I’m not lazy.

Have fun. And never work at Taco Bell :(

This is SOOOOO GOOD!!! I used some bone-in-breasts I had and marinated them like the first recipe then de-boned and cut up. It worked fine, but next time I think it would de-bone and cut up the chicken first. I then used the latter recipe and added a can of enchilada sauce to the simmering chicken. The extra sauce was used to season the rice. It was wonderful

slightly worried, someone said they keep their chicken slightly pink?!?!?! oh my good lord no! talk about fast track to food poisoning! very dangerous i would not recommend that at all
